The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides an opportunity for the student of Graduate & Post Graduate to participate in various government led community service activities & programmes.The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands-on experience to young students in delivering community service. NSS is a port through which students have the exposure and experience to become efficient administrators and responsible social leaders. The geographical location of the college gives ample opportunity for the students to explore various socially relevant activities. Since the majority of the students hail from rural pockets, community participation is very natural to them and their participation is encouraging. An active NSS unit functioning in the college is involved in many activities such as Tree plantation, adoption of the village,rural literacy programme, and fire safety programme just to mention a few.
